In 2020, I began a food blog via Instagram called Go Eat, Greensboro! (or, Go Eat, GSO! for short). It started with this post, taking chicken stripes from Bojangles and creating a fun sandwich.
Through Go Eat, Greensboro! I use my food blog to showcase and uplift diverse food places and spaces in Greensboro, North Carolina and beyond. Additionally, through Go Eat, GSO! I highlight diverse foodies, chefs, and recipe creators by making their recipes and sharing them via posts or Instagram Reels. I center and prioritize BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color), queer and trans people, disabled folks, and individuals from various spiritual and religious traditions in this work.
I am also deeply committed to social justice and therefore I use my food blog to decenter whiteness and diversify the foodie and food blogger scene. I unequivocally believe that Black Lives Matter.
